The Tour Bus is an ongoing series featuring musicians talking about staying creative while touring as well as offering mobile recording tips from the road. Here, pop singer-songwriter VÉRITÉ offers a quick view of songwriting on the road.

Where do you find inspiration for songwriting on the road?

Existing. Having time. Walking. Listening to podcasts. Meeting new people. The energy from playing shows. Being in a new place and circumstance changes the way you think.

How has touring affected your songwriting?

The more you travel, the more you see which gives you more understanding and capacity to feel. Traveling has expanded my mind and made me a more confident human.

How do you simplify the recording process?

Start simply. You need an interface, harmony and melody. Build one step at a time and don't overcomplicate things.
